Mike Hawkins
Exposed!
The Star Wars Pod
This is probably the video Mike is known most for.
It was on UFOs the Best Evidence Caught on Tape on the Fox Network and won Mike $500.00 in
UFO magazines UFO photo contest. I asked Mike for a good copy of this video countless times.
Needless to say I never got a copy of it from Mike to do a case study on.
From pieces of the video I do I have I can tell you it's
typical of Mike shooting in wide angle most of the time.

UFOs: The Best Evidence Caught on Tape!

The Star Wars Pod Photo
This photo won $500.00 from UFO magazine!
Many people have seen the clip on the internet however very little is know about it. The more you learn about this
sighting the more suspicious it gets. Mike didn't just capture this Star Wars pod on tape once. According to
his own tapes he videotaped it atleast three different times! Then he photographed it atleast on one occasion.
What luck!

Notice the different dates: 5/ 9/93 | 8/12/93 | 9/24/93
The object is in the same location every time Mike Hawkins trains his camera on it. If this object did exist and floats
over that area on many occasions you'd expect more people to have seen it.
Isn't it more likely that Mike Hawkins somehow rigged a toy to some balloons or a kite and hoaxed
this event? One might even go so far as changing dates on a videocamera to make it appear that you shot footage
on multiple occasions?
Can this entire sighting be written off as a toy model?
Yet bet it can here's how.

In 1979 Kenner toys sold a Star Wars playset called "Land of the Jawas". I was only 9 years old
at that time and I had one myself. I loved my Star Wars toys as a kid so I remember this pod toy when I
saw that videotape.

Left is a toy, I found at a local hobby store. Right is a Mike Hawkins photo.
I used the pole from my pool and mounted this toy to it using fishing string. I found that
after you're 35 feet from it with a camera you no longer see the string. It delivers the same
result as Mike Hawkins video and pics produce. You could use a kite or a set of 10 balloons and a rock to
anchor them in shallow water to reproduce this same "effect" Mike Hawkins has.

Mike Hawkins friend Greg Liss is a Stars Wars collector.
Just something to consider.
The Star Wars Escape Pod is well documented on the Internet.
So its obvious that Mike Hawkins faked the video and profited from it. I tried to
tell tv producer Bob Kiviat who made "The Best Evidence Caught on Tape" that he was duped by Hawkins but he simply couldn't
fathom that he had been taken in by a toy. All this coming from the mouth of the guy who produced "The Alien Autopsy".
There are many clips on the internet of this video saying its a military vehicle. For a while I thought maybe it was real until I investigated it
throughly and came to a different conclusion after looking at the evidence.
It's just a toy!
I made a MPG to compare Hawkins image he took against the toy model I bought. There are
one in the same.
