I made a webpage about Mike Hawkins and asked if he ever came across this page to contact me. Many
months pass by then I get an E-Mail from Greg Liss one of Mike friends he skywatched with in Gulf Breeze.
Greg Liss
I spoke with Greg on the phone several times and exchanged stories and videos with him. He was easy to get along
with and was one of those guys you saw skywatching on the "Gulf Breeze Files". Greg was able to fill me in on the Gulf
Breeze scene back in the early 90's which I sadly missed out on. He also helped out with pointing me in the right
direction about who shot what on that videotape I had. Greg made it clear early on that he wanted his video and photos to be
judged separately from that which Mike peddles in mail order ads. He skywatched with Mike sometimes but didn't want to be
lumped in with him. He knew Hawkins has a notorious rep in the UFO underground as possibly being behind alot of phony videos.
Greg only had a couple UFO sightings on video that he said he couldn't explain. One video was taken in the presence of Mike and Tom Sabourin
so Greg could vouch that it wasn't fake. However he noted that he also was skeptical about many photos and videos Hawkins suddenly
turned up with.
Greg said I should contact Tom Sabourin who since moved from Gulf Breeze, Fl and was living in Hawaii at the time.
Needless to say I took his advice and contacted Tom Sabourin who provided a wealth of information.
Tom Sabourin
I found Tom to be a very humble man about his UFO experiences, a very quite guy, and deticated
skywatcher. I traded tapes with Tom and he had several interesting UFO encounters on tape. He certainly knew what he was doing with
videocameras and was no amateur when recording a UFO event. He was able to provide raw footage with original audio to clarify
questions I had about Hawkins. He also didn't want to be lumped in as apart of Mike's clan and was his own man when it
comes to his skywatching experiences. I'll add that Tom supplied master tapes when asked and did
everything possible to help me investigate his UFO sightings. To this day he has some of the best UFO shots out there.
Tom's many interesting UFO sightings on tape include rare cylinder footage, some great night shots of UFOs, Bubba from Gulf Breeze, and
other orbs captured on tape. He shares the same opinion of Greg Liss to keep his friendship with Hawkins at a distance because
of Mike's reputation of hoaxed UFO sighting. Neither of them knew were Hawkins was located but believed he moved to Roswell, NM
and lost touch with him. Both opening joked about Mike faking footage and referring to it as "crap footage".
When asked about those suspect UFO
Helicopter Photos and Christmas Tree videos. They said they had nothing to do with it and said Mike suddenly just turned up with the
material claiming he received it from an anonymous source in his PO, Box.
